Fearne and Dermot will pair up to front E!'s coverage of the Orange British Academy Film Awards from the Royal Opera House on Sunday, February 12. As the celebrity guests begin to congregate outside the prestigious ceremony, the presenting duo will offer gossip from the red carpet and screen time with the nominees attending the awards. Scooping the position with E! is an important gig for the pair, as the US station is the go-to channel for American audiences who want to watch the red carpet action at major award ceremonies. Dermot, who is currently best-known for his solo presenting role on The X Factor, hosted the National Television Awards last week and is an ITV stalwart, despite his autumn venture The Marriage Ref proving to be a ratings flop. Meanwhile, Fearne is a seasoned radio and TV presenter, with her own show on youth-orientated BBC Radio 1 and a long-running role on ITV2 panel show Celebrity Juice. Ronnie Wood has given son Jesse the thumbs-up on new girlfriend Fearne Cotton and says he hopes the pair will wed. The Rolling Stones guitarist met the Radio 1 presenter for the first time last weekend. Speaking at the Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards, where he scooped two gongs for his work as an Absolute Radio DJ, he told me: “Fearne’s a beautiful girl. They’re lovely together. I met her when she came to a Faces gig with Jesse at Cornbury Festival. I very much approve. She’s rock ‘n’ roll. Fearne Cotton's only been single for five minutes, but BFF Holly Willoughby wants to find her a dream man. Fearne, 29, split in April from her on-again-off-again fiancι, skateboarder Jesse Jenkins, 24, after getting engaged last September. Holls, 30, is now desperate to matchmake her best mate and she's enlisted hubby Dan Baldwin and mutual friends James Corden and Dermot O'Leary to help. ‘Fearne's gorgeous, witty, smart and sexy,' says our source. ‘No one can understand why she isn't married with kids by now.
